xấu hổ

Feeling shame or guilt.

⚠ Học sinh hay nhầm lẫn giữa 'xấu hổ' (cảm giác tội lỗi/ngại ngùng) với 'ngại' (cảm giác e dè khi gặp người lạ). Ví dụ: 'Tôi rất ngại khi gặp người lạ' là đúng, không dùng 'Tôi rất xấu hổ khi gặp người lạ' trừ khi bạn đã làm điều gì sai với họ.

ℹ Trong tiếng Việt, 'xấu hổ' thường đi kèm với các động từ chỉ cảm xúc như 'cảm thấy' hoặc 'thấy' để diễn tả trạng thái tâm lý.
