⚠ Từ này cũng được dùng cho nghĩa '12 giờ đêm chính xác'. Sự khác biệt nằm ở ngữ cảnh: khi dùng với các động từ chỉ khoảng thời gian như 'đến' hoặc 'tận', nó chỉ khoảng thời gian; khi dùng với các từ chỉ thời điểm cụ thể như 'vào lúc', nó chỉ đúng 12 giờ.

ℹ Trong tiếng Việt, 'nửa đêm' thường dùng để chỉ khoảng thời gian chung quanh mười hai giờ đêm chứ không nhất thiết phải là đúng mười hai giờ như trong tiếng Anh.
